Thanks for the reply.

Jman - You are probably right regarding the increased support. But I don't think the problem is very much different from other gears using SD cards like video cameras and sound recorders...many of them request for faster SD-cards. Most often these manufactures posts a support document with approved SD cards. Another thing which hit me - is there actually a complete image posted of the SD-card shipped with the 2Box?

Reason for asking- I can see that my used box has been patched and don't include all sounds.

Posting this baseline could be useful for people who had blown their SD-cards...and want to get back to the original supportable state.

Hi!

I just wanted to say that I am impressed by SDSE batch tool...I just took a journey and tested it out using AD2 and a kit which I have created here. (The Kick and the Snare was exported like a charm in the eval version of the software.)

For the kick - the DSND file was created but for the snare...some java environment memory errors showed up because of the DSoundTool...(I think that can be solved - however I got the wave files!)

I can just guess how long this process would take if not uisng the SDSE tool! Nice work there!

Note: I was running the whole process in Windows 10 Beta.

DrumIt 3 and DrumIt 5 Software - PC / Mac / Re: DSoundTool 1.11 released

Hi!

I have created some wave files using the SDSE tool/Reaper. In the last part of this sequence the DSoundTool is used to convert the wave file(s) to dsnd file. For the kick - no problem...but on the snare...memory error. I tried to do this step manually but there is no way to get around the "memory error" which java produces.

I tried to patch the java Environment and increase the memory. 1300m is the default in the batch file....and I was able to increase it to 1370 Before java started to say no. But there is no way to get around the memory error in the DSoundTool V1.12. Any hints out there? My two snare files are 320 MB each....

I am going to do the patch on my used box. Is it possible to go beyond 32GB? Have anybody tried 64 or 128 GB SD cards?

Looking on the design, it looks like they had plans for an external slot...if looking where the card is located. Have anybody had the guts to make a slot hole directly on the 2Box box in line where the slot is located?

Best regards

Thanks Allan.

My orange journey is more for test purposes - got it for a bargin and I thought I am a Swedish guy and I must support the local initiatives! (Think outside the box)...but you are right the box includes more frustration, which I really wonder what they was up to when designing the module.

But...I have to say it triggers very good. I wonder how they do it - connect what ever in terms of triggers/e-pads and it works just great with the default settings...and then it sounds great also!

So - maybe I should not be too hard...

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / USB port can be used for midi

Hi!

I am rather new to this forum - I have been around for a while and have been doing some e-drumming, DIY etc..I have just for fun bought a 2BOX module to compare with what I am currently using.

After have been updating the OS on the 2BOX module and carefully been reading the manual...I just realized that the USB port is not able to send any midi. The USB port is only used for storing files, OS etc. This has also been confirmed in other threads. But as a new user of 2BOX - What is really this?

Of course - using an external midi interface is not a problem ...but I would argument that this is great drawback in functionality and even poor design. I would have expected more...
