Can just confirm to what Steve says - the ATV snare is a dual piezo snare.

If anybody wonders what Sabian63 refers to...here is the idea:

https://youtu.be/G7bNl7onPnk (If look carefully on how the three zones interact)

It is a box which converts 2 of total 3 Piezo triggers to switch type of signal...which makes it react as a Yamaha 3 Zone type of signal. We will see if there will be an official product.

Hi!

Sorry to hear about your problems. Which serial number do your Zourman module have?

A few users have in the past been reporting problems with this kind of disturbance. Most often generated by the virtual earth between the systems...which starts to move. E.g. ATV is shooting power out from the hh ctr and 2box do the same...and the Zourman module have to handle this in the best way. Maybe we need to look on this serious for your environment and fix it!

Especially for these 80th kits...you might try the Layer "Top" parameter...found on the Kit - ENV page.

With LAYER you determine the way each sample layer (volume levels) of the sound will be triggered.
Var: (default setting of most sounds) At random, the module selects a layer which is in the volume range that best matches the trigger-impulse intensity. With this setting, the typical "machine gun effect" is avoided, because even with an identical trigger impulse at the following beat, another sound layer will be used (randomly) and previously generated sound layers can still fade out completely.

Top: Regardless of the velocity, always the "top layer" sound, i.e. the loudest layer is used.

Fix: always the layer matching the trigger impulse best is used. I.e. with identical trigger- impulse intensity the same layer is used.

I am afraid that your thoughts are right. The cymbal channels can only handle a couple of trigger types...and they are all limited to piezo/switch type of implementations. (CYPS, CYpss etc) This makes them useless by design to split. A switch rely on a piezo to work. What we are looking for is a piezo/piezo input...and this can be achieved (PADPP) on all other channels except the cymbal channels on MKII/Three. (The kick and hihat channels can't do this either)

So regards of layers and other stuff...it will be almost impossible to split to separate pads when dealing with a piezo/switch implementation.

Check your cables...if the problem just showed up suddenly.

This combination should work fine on DrumIt Three.

The setting is "def" for Roland hihats.

The cy-5/Fd-8 is very similar to VH-11

Configurations Examples Roland Hi-hat VH-11

Hi!

In general - if you split a 2box input in to two pads - you can trigger two different sounds...with their layers. A dsnd sound file have often 1-3 different sounds. Bow, bell, edge etc...where each sound can have 1-127 layers.

Then you can mix and match the sounds and layers using apps like - Lustark Drumit Manager...

So to the question- what do you want achieve?

It is a nice review.

Have You tried the the Drumit editor? https://2box-drums.com/editor/

It converts waves to dsnd files.

You have also the DrumIt Manager from Lustark. Here you also have an editor to create dsdn files.

I finally tried the script on a Linux based raspberry pi ...(it works) but after checking the results...it has only downloaded about 60-70 zipped dsnd files.

So there seems to be hidden folders on the 2box site....which the script does not see

Hmm.

Maybe You should measure this hihat controller with a voltage/resistor meter and see if you get a good range between closed to open hihat pedal and see if you can stop it in the middle. A Vh11 from Roland will give the following values; VH-11 20.6 Kohm .008 Kohm (xtra tight) 5 kohm (normal)

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Re: SD card question

Hi!

The SD card does not pop out too far....so in some cases I am afraid that you need a tool to get it out. As user of many cards and exchanging information...I am using a 25 cm SD card cable extender to be faster changing cards. (Like the one included in this pack https://zourman.com/product/2box-64gb-card-mod-kit/ )

There have been some problems reported with the SD card adapter- (the card itself uses a micro sd inside)

You could try to another sd adapter before changing Sd card.
