Ich spiele auch schon seit längerem mit dem Gedanken, so einen Kasten bei Jman zu bestellen. Gut zu lesen, dass es tatsächlich was bringt!
Spricht eigentlich irgendwas dagegen, das 2box-HH-Pad mit dem JMan-Controller zu benutzen? Oder braucht man unbedingt ein anderes Pad? Vielleicht bestelle ich dann gleich Jman´s stealth-HH-Pad mit...

I remember me comparing edrums in a shop about 2 years ago.
the roland td20 felt great because of it´s extremely good feel and playability, the hihat for example works just perfect. but it was far out of my price-range. last not least I didnt like the td20-sounds as much as the 2box sounds (-->machinegunning).

as far as all the other e-kits I tried (including several roland, yamaha and alesis models), the 2box beats them all in feeling and sound.

so my advice is clear: buy the mighty orange one.
if I would have to use it for gigs, I´d go for 3rd party rack and pads, though. but for recording and practicing at home it´s great.

assuming there is a midi out on the td-8 brain, there might be another solution for you: a drum-vst on your computer (sd2 , bfd or drumasonic for example). you go midi out of your brain and into your focusrite. the sounds of todays vsts are real drumsounds as well, just like the 2box-sounds. so you wouldn't even have to buy the 2box brain (although I really DO recommend the 2box!!).
it is possible to split your midi-recording to separate tracks in logic (don´t know if this works in garageband as well)

Hi Tom,

vermutlich weißt du das längst, aber zur Sicherheit nochmal: Es gibt im Modul 2 Einstellungen für das Kickpad, unter "unit"--> eine seite runter, Einstellung "type", da kann man "kick1" oder "kick2" wählen, wobei mit "kick2" weniger doppeltrigger kommen.
Ansonsten könntest Du mal ein 2lagiges meshhead ausprobieren, das könnte eventuell auch bisschen was bringen.

Und drittens fällt mir nur noch ein, dass es spieltechnisch bedingt sein könnte. Lässt du den beater am Fell, wenn du die Bassdrum getreten hast? Das könnte zu Mehrfachtriggern führen.  Oder lässt du ihn nur anschlagen und zurückbouncen, was (für mich) die wesentlich schwierigere Spieltechnik ist?
Ich lasse oft den beater am Fell und habe eigentlich keine Probleme mit doppeltriggern, von daher kann´s das eigentlich nicht sein.

So wie es aussieht wurde die Hi Hat beim Transport beschädigt. Versicherung hat aber die Kosten übernommen und somit habe ich jetzt eine komplett neue bekommen, welche Einwandfrei funktioniert!

I play lots of metal on my stock-2box kit (including 2box hardware). My heavy and exessive rimshots broke the snarepad-rim  a few times. the 2box-service replaced it without problems. nevertheless I bought an additional drumtec-diabolo snare (a regular snare with metal rim).
the rest of the 2box hardware is ok, still roland hardware and pads are better in terms of stability and endurance I guess.
my 2box-hihat had one broken solder joint a few weeks ago (after almost 2 years of daily hitting). but it was repaired in a minute by the local hifi-guy in my town.

imho, whatever module-updates roland will make, it will never (!) sound as good as the 2box as long as they don´t start using multilayer-samples.

du solltest dich unbedingt an hyperactive.de wenden, falls du das nicht bereits getan hast! Wenn die das reparieren ist das mit ziemlicher Sicherheit billiger als ein neues Pad. Zur Ursache: Es klingt als sein in deinem Pad das Teil kaputt, was die Entfernung vom Magneten "misst".
