General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Spammy gits
October 02, 2020, 03:27:51 PM
Thanks to over 200,000 recent spam account registrations, I've had to purge all accounts awaiting activation. Sadly, some innnocent people have probably been affected.

If you are one of them, please do have another go, we would love to hear from you.

Cheers

Sorry folks, but we ain't orange for the time being.

You'll have to put up with boring blue for a bit while I try to find a theme that ain't gonna break the latest version of the forum.

No idea what happened to the avatars either - will try to get them back but it might be a case of finding new ones I'm afraid. I've found a whole bunch of random anime ones so if you edit your profile you should see a new list in the gallery.

Thanks and apologies to JMan for all the emails he got about the site being broke.

Does anyone want to buy an edrumming forum? :D

Cheers

Hey yall, I'm trying to work out how to stem the flow of bot signups as it's actually causing database problems. So for now I'm stopping the registration function - I'm afraid you'll have to lurk for a while and check back to see when it's re-opened. Hopefully won't take too long.

So yeah, the forum turned 10 years old in July 2019, how nuts is that?

As ever I've been far too busy to be very useful and as a result a lot of automated crap has appeared of late - thanks to JMan for all your hard work, man. This would be a rot-filled wasteland without you!

I've had a good rummage around and set up some new blockades against the spammers which will hopefully hold for a while. I've also deleted several thousand (!) rogue accounts which have been malingering with malodorous intent.

Onwards and upwards, with a little sideways from time to time no doubt

Hey all, sorry for the recent hiccups - sadly a couple of weeks of server weirdness have zapped some posts and many people would have not been able to even view the forums.

I've done some kicking and punching, and thanks to a new-to-be member pointing out an issue, hopefully this will resolve some problems with logging in and registering.

If you're having trouble logging in, try clearing your browser cache and reloading the site (depending on your machine / browser you can do this while holding one of shift/CTRL/funny mac key and the clicking reload button, or through options or whatnot).

Cheers

Woops, forum got stuck in maintenance mode, sorry! I didn't notice because being logged in as Admin ignores maintenance mode. That'll learn me for using a wizard instead of doing manual upgrades!

Rock on.

Electronic Drum Center has a great selection of Edrums including of course the orange beast we know and love.

EDC ships to the US and beyond, and is a Jman-approved brand  :)

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Happy Chrimbo everyone!
December 25, 2013, 02:50:33 PM
Merry Christmas to everyone here, it's an amazing community you've founded and I'm just sorry I'm not here more often.

Here's a big shout out to the electro-precussive geniuses at 2box, and a special thanks to JMan for all his expert input, and guidance with the forum...it wouldn't be the same place without you!

Louis and Lustar both deserve a glass of something strong and delicious raised in their honour, their respective DSound and SDSE tools are brilliant.

To all the regular posters (you know who you are) and all the lurkers who are shy (but very welcome) I salute you all too!

Hope you all have an awesome festive season!

All the best

Author Topic: stereo from OUT1 and OUT 2  (Read 42 times)

Is there any way to make Out 1 channel right, and Out 2 channel left so I can have a stereo monitor system? I have a small PA that I use with my 2Box and I would like to do this and then set different balances on my 4 toms so I can have my left most tom coming through the left speaker and  right most tom out of the right, balancing things so when I do a fill from left to right the sound follows the direction of my playing? I see how I can balance each pad, but I can't figure out how to assign the individual outputs on the brain to be either left or right. Or do I have to do this with the headphone jack and make a Y cable with a TRS jack on one end and 2 TS jacks on the other ends. I have 2 QSC Ksub subwoofers, a K12 speaker on one pole and a Behringer D212 on the other one. Right now I just run it mono and jump the signal from one side to the other, but I could just as easily run them separately if I could figure out how to assign L and R to 2 outputs on the brain. Can this be done?
Thanks,
Snyde

Not sure he was asking this ....

@snydley ,just go to UNIT page4 , there you can assign the SUB to OUT 1-2 ... if you use the clic , you can chose to desactivate it from the SUB bus(on the same page ) , and keep it in the headphone out  , chosing MIX for it

...  for further details , all is in the manual ....

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Forum Problems - update
August 02, 2012, 07:46:43 PM
Hey people

Depending on the speed of your ISP picking up fresh DNS records, you might well be seeing this on the new host!

I've brought back everything up until July - still hoping to to arrive at last week - I'll see if I can re-integrate whatever I can.

In the meantime, please don't post anything but feel free to browse :)

Cheers

Diamond Electronic Drums

Diamond Electronic Drums are based in the UK and recently started stocking 2box kits - they've got years of experience building their own range of (rather beautiful) custom e-drums.

Thanks to C828 and JMan for this one

Press the UNIT button to get into the setup system.

When you see this screen tap the PAGE DOWN button once.

You should now see a screen where it says TRIG on the side like this:

Now tap any of the CYMB buttons.

Press down on this knob.

So that the letter reads "M" next to the GAIN number

This should now make the Cup/Bell ring with a firm but not necessarily hard hit.

Hope this helps you it certainly helped me ;) !

If it works for you, SAVE the changes by pushing the PAGE UP button then this button once.

Are you human? Are you a drummer? Have you had your registration for the forum rejected?
If so, I'm sorry.  :'(

I'm trying to work out the real ones...But we're getting constantly bombarded with hundreds of fake spammer registrations, and I'm automating a lot of the banlist operations now.

So if your registration didn't work out send me an email:

human_bean  {at}  2box -forum {dot} com

Tell me your username, and your favourite drummer, and I'll let you in.

Once again, apologies, this seems ridiculous, but there's not a lot else I can do about it.
cheers
