Hi all,

I was just wondering. I play mp3 songs from my computer to the line in of the Drumitfive which works fine.
However the computer is 2 meters away...
Now it comes...

Is there a way to trigger an computer event via the pads via midi?
An event should be something like:
Start recording drums (probably a F-key command in a recording program)
Trigger a play-next song in Windows mediaplayer.

And yes of course I could buy an mp3 player and hook it up, but is it possible?

Cheers,

Hi all,

I would like to buy a second-hand Drumitfive Cymbal.
It will probably tak some time to get a new one.

Let me know!

To the question: IS 2Box here to stay?
I think so. Think about. Former core of DDRUM decides to start a new company with probably some investors supporting the business plan.
In general you see that popularity of Ddrumitfives are high, they built a good drumkit.
And yes they have problems with logistics, but it also means that there is high demand which is never a bad sign.

In general I am happy that they listen to the customer, try to compare that with Roland!

Hmm let me calculate. I bought the MD1 for 2000 Euro. MD2 costs 2100.
I sell:

Brain : 600 EUro
1 Tom: 175 euro
1 Tom : 175 Euro
large tom : 200 Euro
Snare : 225 Euro
Bassdrum : 250 Euro
Hi-hat: 225 Euro
1 Cymbal (I keep one): 175 Euro
MD1 rack : 75 Euro
=>  Total 2100

Then I buy the MD2 and have an extra cymbal already. Anybody interested? hahaha

Hmm yes

I tried feedback today, sold out.
However I forgot if they have an offer for the MD2 rack.

Anyone knows if this offer valid in the netherlands and what the price is.

My assumption is that if you buy the new MD2 rack, that you also get the new snarestand?

Where are all your Dutchiesssssssss  :drum1:

Hello all and especially the Dutchies around here :)

I read in other topics that it was (or is?) possible to buy the MD2 rack with discounts for people who bought the first Drumitfives in december 2009.
How does it work and does this offer work in Holland as well cause it seems quite informal than a formal statement from 2BOX.

Like everybody else here, I am also interested in buying an extra cymbal. Anybody has any luck already in purchasing this in Holland?

Regards,

HJ

What you can do is try to order another module holder + an extra clamp and then make some holes in your laptop

How will rubber match with the normal plastic layer on accoustic drums.
I thought that the current material on the Drumitfive is far more realistic?

editor software (already in the big list I made)
8 outputs (already in the big list I made)
more memory on a removable flash card (they won't that but will compress more I understood)
better displays and menus on brain (this is like my old archos jukebox) (I will add it to the list)
metronome (already in the big list I made)
coaching (what is this?)
better instructions (they are working on it)
an option to buy pads, snare and brain, not to have to buy more robust hardware (it will come)
stand alone kick drum or the current one attached better (not flapping about) (what kind of problem you have with it)
mp3 mini jack (mini jack?-> you can use a converter)
better build quality
clear information on the web site about what is and is not ready (ie the editor)

I love my 2 Box but all the above should have been sorted before release especially at £1600, feels like a work in progress rather than an end product

If you don't like the look, get another rack, get black paint and you're done and you probably have the best kit on earth at the moment (for this price at least)

Here is the list so far:

-. the editor software (already confirmed by 2Box)
-. make PHONES an assignable output on the NODE page (to get 8 outputs)
-. fix the flawed hihat samples (done?)
-. provide some mono samples
-. a metronome function
-. MP3 support for songs (already confirmed by 2Box)
-. using the brain as a midi device over usb
-. possibility to put a song in pause, and start it from the point you want
-. possibility to mute the opened hihat (like the cymbals)
-. possibility to play with brushes
-. exercises in the kit for practising and being more precise
-. some effects
-. ADAT output
-. possibility to load and save differents "unit" configurations in the kit
-. different cymbals sizes (for example, a ride!)
-. more equealizer settings
-. trigger function on the pads....if I hit a rim, a different kit should load
-. a function that will flash the light of the bass drum according to your rhytm of bass
-. make the 2box module full compatible with others like roland, yamaha, pearl, alesis etc.
-. tighten more or less the wires of the snare drum
