Hi. DrumIt (at least the oroginal one) uses CC4 as hihat pedal position.
Open 0, closef 127 (can be set reversed).
AFAIK roland can also use CC4, see eg

Maybe obvious, but does the button work on other pages?
Is save enabled on the unit-pref page?

With the DI5 in usb mode, the storage is a std fat32 drive.
Definitively recognized by a Mac.
And no usb midi with a Mac either, since its not implemented on DI5.

No offence, but it seems you are a bit lost with the concepts here.
Maybe read the manual...?

Hi. The DI5 sends a base midi note for each pad, and for every next zone the next higher note.
This is set on the unit-intf page for each channel. Midi in/out is on din only.

I cant help with clone hero.

Hi. Good it connects now.

The DI5 does not have midi over usb. It was supposed too but never happened.
Thats why the usb.midi led is non functional.

As your pc can read the di5 files now, everything else is upto your pc programs.

Hi. Sorry to ask again, but you hold the left button while switching on power?
Even if not connected with a cable, it should read "usb not connected" on the lcd.
(And it doesn't load the OS in this mode).
Then when connecting the usb cable, it should read "usb connected".

If you get as far as the "not conn" msg, try different cable, diff usb port, diff pc.

Hi. Maybe too obvious, but do you hold the left button over the display when you switch on?
Thats how to get into usb mass storage mode.

Hi. Unfortunately, the cause will be difficult to track down.

Does it show 8 on 1 of the 3 digits, and then a . ?
That means something is still being clocked.
Or is it an 8 and next digit a . and all stands still?

It seems you would need to test power, clock, etc on the pcb.

Hi.
In USB mode, the DrumIt should behave as a standard USB mass storage device.
That means, exactly the same as a normal FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive.
You have any of those to test on your laptop?

Hi.
"think the Module struggles to Update the Screen and Trigger Sounds at the same Moment"
That's why the kit prog page is "safe", it might do time or beat counter update,
but that's relatively little and not often.
I can confirm trig dispatch was, and still seems to be, the same processing thread as screen update.
(Trig detect is a higher level.)
Once it was on my todo list, but it's not on my table anymore so to speak...

Thanks for the feedback.
Good vid by d.tec.
I will look at the trig signal first as it is with blk mesh head.
Then I put a Remo silent stroke on, see how that turns out.
If not ok, I go for 2 ply.

Hi. Not often I pose a question, but here goes.
I'd like to change my original black mesh (on the orange pad) to white.
Any suggestions? Single, dual, triple ply? What triggers best?  Brand?
Thanks,
Deve.

Hi. As long as they have the switch between ring and sleeve of the trs contact, it should work.
Dont know the latest trig types, but there used to be CyEdg.
Ps. Only on module cymbal jack inputs.
