Hi.
DrumIt (and maybe emerge) send the note off pretty quickly after note on since they should always be a pair (and for drum sounds, n.off isnt used(. Maybe the synth thinks its too short after.

Hi. Afaik no mirror.
However the chan to bus is global, so  easy to do, however this is direct out from chan to bus to out.
See page UNIT-INTF.
Mix bus (or Submix) to out, see UNIT-OUT.
Best, Deve.

Hi Bill.
Well, when I designed the original DI5, it had the sd card built in. I sort of suspected problems when people use their own.
But when they released mkII later, it opened up a grey zone of what to use. I added that msg (which seems to be still there) as a safety warning just in case, which turned out what you got :-)

Hi.
That boot msg says the sd card is not formatted correctly, cluster size (allocation size) is 16k, should be 32k.

Try to reformat with that.
Btw, formatting a 64 gb card as 32 gb is not an obvious thing, but you might get away with it.

Hi.
Using more than 4 gb via usb does NOT damage the unit. Just the sd card data gets messed up.
This is not a bug btw. The usb mass storage code was never intended for more than 4 gb.

Hi.

"BTW, the Speedlight kit doesn't have an SD card so those links aren't applicable."

Oh yes, it does. Just not externally accessible.

Cheers.

Hi.
If you can read german, here is a thread

https://www.drummerforum.de/forum/thread/90378-fame-hybrid-pro/?pageNo=8

Its kind of the same module with another outside. Look for user Drumstudio1, he has the same problem.

Best, Deve.
Ps. Myself, I dont know why, I am not involved since the original DI5.

Hi. What 2box are up to, I have no idea. Also, I have not been involved in DI3 or 5mk2, so no help there I'm afraid.
Basically they work as the first DI5, kits refer to sounds. They can be stored in any folder(s) you want on the sd card. If the sound is missing it shows the name, and a ? mark too on the KIT DRUM page. You have to find it on 2b dl web.

Hi Chris. Good job!
DI5 doesnt care about boot flags. Just the 1st partition entry at the end of the 1st sector.
However, sd cards have certain erase block boundaries which should be taken into account for best performance.
I never tested more than 32 GB back in the days, but now I have.
Cheers, Deve.

Hi. Slow forum here :-) Me too...
Anyway, I can only give advice on DI5 original (mk1).
The outputs 1-6 are the same, just that 1.2 can be vol controlled.
See unit-out page. Hp out has an extra driver for headphones, but can be used as direct out 7.8 and is then set to same level as 1-6.
So route mix to hp and/or 1.2 and check with var or fix level (with !).
Should givd the same sound quality.
Note thar 1-6 are unbal TS (R is same as S is gnd) and hp is TRS left-right-gnd.
Best, Deve.

I guess all that mil tech stuff is needed elsewhere. Fighting Russians or shooting down balloons...

Hi Ken! I watched the whole vid. Funny thing is, I met Skot in 2012? I think, in London, and we talked about just that. I even gave him a code example of my lossless comp idea. So lots of what he tells here I recognize very well. Mind you, he certainly had those things going before I met him, no offense.
We talked about collaboration, but then Nufzd was launched 2015? and we lost contact.
Then Fxpansion went to Roli, then BFD went to inMusic, so I dont know anymore...

Hi. Hihat pedal can be calibrated anytime. For other changes, go to UNIT-PREF page and set SAVE to on.
Then you can press button above SAVE?  and ? will disappear.

Hi. Original card was built in, I reckoned (correctly) that users buying their own could be difficult.
At the time (2009!) 4 GB was s lot. So USB code was for that.
After DI5 original, I was not involved anymore and the code wasnt fixed for bigger cards.
Indeed, an OS seeing a larger card thru USB will get mixed up. Card R/W errors, no hardw damage.
