Sorry, I posted this in the Drumit3 forum. It should officially be in the Drumit5 forum.

Hello all,
When I first got my bassdrum (a floortom converted into a bassdrum and with a Ddrum trigger on it) I had a problem with double triggering which I adjusted in the module with Threshold, Mask-time and Retrigger-cancel. I also dampened the bassdrum and all those things together got rid of the double triggering. Now I have a problem which looks like double triggering, but seems to be of a different kind. I've been recording my drums on a DAW (Reaper) for a few months now, but the last few weeks my bassdrum is sometimes triggering double notes. But they're so close together that at first I didn't notice it. When listening closely I heard it. I also didn't see it at first. But when zooming in on the drum track real close I can see a second note left from the played bass drum note. The strange thing is that the doubled note is before the actual played note, and it's  way softer. Whereas with normal double triggering the first note is the loudest or as loud as the second note. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Okay, I will go try that. Thanks for the info!

Happy new year, by the way! :)

It definitely does not sound the same. I think there's something wrong with the zones. I think they're turned around or something. Te rim sound is much louder than the snare sound and even if I turn down 'Gain' it doesn't help much. And the hi-hat only gives a closed sound. No open sound and no chick. I have the Zourman converter. I've only got this problem whith the MKII SD-card. The card with my old MKI sounds works perfectly well.

Okay, so I downloaded the MKII content of sounds, put it on an SD-card and put it in my old Drumit5 to try out the GR US Maple kit. I kind of hoped the settings would be more or less the same and that with a little tweaking it would sound like the Drum Tec example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xl7Ar9hk_6Q
But it's so far off from that example that it sounds like a different kit altogether. Is it even possible to get the kit to sound like that on my old Drumit5, or do I have to buy the Mark2 for that?

Thanks Anders! So it ís on the 2Box website. I will go check it out.

Best regards,

I heard a demo of the MII with the GR US Maple Kit. I love the sound of this kit, especially the snare drum! I have the original Drumit5 module, but this this kit is not on it. It's also not on the 2Box website. Does anyone know if the snare  sound is available as a download anywhere?

My mother has a laptop with very little on it. I'll install Reaper and record something. See if that makes any difference. Thanks so far.

So I'm back again. Turning off MIDI THRU didn't work in the end, so that's not the problem. The thing is is, the first hour of working my equipment seems to work fine, but after that the problem starts.
I've added a link to part of the drum track. I recorded it with my phone. It's run through some inferior computer speakers (normally I listen through my headphones) but I think it's enhough to hear what the problem is. The track is 100% quantized (the notes are perfectly on the grid) but it definitely doesn't sound quantized. This morning, when I just started up my equipment, the same track sounded perfectly quantized, and two hours later it sounds like this.

Turning off MIDI THRU seems to have helped. But the problem 's not there all the time, so it could also be coincidence. I'll just have to wait if it stays okay. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Thanks for now.

Yes, I have. Two Din plugs in the module, midi in and midi out.

I recently  connected my Drumit5 module to my computer with a usb midi cable (usb in the computer and din in the module), because I wanted to record some tracks in Reaper. I routed the playback through the module. So far so good. But... here the trouble starts. Sometimes when I playback the recorded part it doesn't play exactly what I played. It gets notes wrong. My band would fire me if I played that way live. First I started doubting my ears, but after quantising the whole track it still gets the notes wrong. The grid in Reaper is set correctly, so that's not the issue. I bought a new midi cable and cleaned up my computer, but that didn't make any difference. So what could this be? Still my computer? The module? Any ideas?

DrumIt 5 Hardware / Re: VH11 bow-edge problem

Exporting to wave files with the DSound tool worked fine, but I now have a bit of trouble with the Editor. I can import the wave files to the hi-hat zones, but it only works when  I import every little file seperately. Let’s say I want to import the folder ‘Bow 60% open’, that doesn’t work. I first have to open the folder and then drag every little file into the zone. ‘Select all’ doesn’t work either, so it takes quite some time to finish the job. Not to mention the fact that half way the editor gets slower and slower. Is there a way to simplify this, or does it just work this way?

Okay, after a bit of Java trouble I downloaded the DSound Tool and it works. I'll experiment with that. Thanks!
