According to his profile on the ddrum forum, today is Jman's birthday. He would be 67.

Candle #1 lit. Can we get 67?

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Re: cymbal pads

Hi!

I do not have a 2box module but the ddrum4 pad is a single piezo using a mono cable so if the pad type in the module does not match (the manual shows Kick1/2 as the only single piezo trigger type) then possibly the signal is misinterpreted by the module as a simultaneous hit+choke (piezo/switch)? Only a wild guess but worth checking the trigger type setting.

Regarding other pads I have found to be a reasonable cost/performance balance are any of the Pintech models. I have single and dual zone PCs for crashes and an LTE (metal) for the ride. You can pretty much choose whatever size/model matches your budget.

Cheers!

Hi Jeff. I am relatively new to this forum (1+ years), landing here by way of ddrum (which is still my module of choice). I enjoy following the conversations here and in doing so have noticed your handle, Stoked2, enough times to recognize you as an enthusiastic e-drummer!

I am not familiar with the thread referenced other than what you have just written, but I do understand the discomfort that can result from an unforgiving internet following an "oops" moment, so for my money, your acknowledgment of that moment speaks well of you.

Take care and be well!

Cheers!

Hi @ANGR77! FYI, there is a new split feature in ddrum4edit 1.00.21 that can help speed up your workflow in converting multiple wav files to native dd4.

Cheers!

The DDrum Legacy / ddrum4edit sound file editing tool

Greetings all! When the forum last went down it seems the most recent backup available to restore was a few weeks old and consequently many posts were lost including this one, so recreating now for those that may have missed it.

For ddrummers still using the ddrum4 module and wishing to modify and/or create your own native sound files, late last year I picked up on some work previously done by a few members of https://unofficially-ddrum.proboards.com and created ddrum4edit, a multi-platform sound file editing tool for the ddrum4 module. You can read about progress at https://unofficially-ddrum.proboards.com/post/1775/thread.

Cheers!

Ken
