Hey man!

I use Jobeky triggers, all installed in acoustic shells. It's an upgrade for my Pearl E-Pro Live.
I'll check my settings later today and get back to you.

Hi Mandubien.
Is that on the original 2box pads w edge piezo?

No, Jobeky is an independent company from UK who make triggers, mesh heads, complete electronic kits etc...

I upgraded my old Pearl E-Pro Live with their triggers, mesh heads and the DrumIt Five mk2 module

I use 3-ply mesh heads from Jobeky and have great feel and response.

They're known to be louder than 1-ply or 2-ply heads but noise isn't a problem for me since I use my e-kit for live gigs only.

Drumtec also have 3-ply mesh heads for sale and I've heard great things about them.

I've just upgraded my Pearl E-Pro Live with centred trigger for the snare and side triggers for the toms (both types are Jobeky triggers). I have no issues at all with the cross-talk. One thing you can try is to turn up the threshold setting so the rim trigger will be less sensitive to any normal hits. I use the rim on the snare to get a cross-stick sound and on the toms to add cymbals. I don't need them to be super sensitive so it's ok for me.

If needed I can show you my settings.

Hey man!

Why not converting a cheap acoustic snare drum into an electronic one? You can find great inside trigger like Jobeky AI Trigger for example and you simply add a mesh head. I did it last week to upgrade my Pearl E-Pro live and it works like a charm.

I'm not sure of the problem: do you want to record midi from the module into Logic or the opposite?

You can change the midi mapping inside the module. So in Logic create a drummer track, convert it into midi to get the piano roll to display the midi mapping and apply the same mapping in the module.

Also make sure the midi track in Logic is set to the same midi channel than in the module, which is channel 2 by default.

Hey friends!

One thing that can be easy (I guess...) to add is separate EQ for each drum channel, instead of sharing the same EQ curve for everything.
A compressor would be great as well.

Thank you for your reply.

I finally made it work. It was my SD card adapter that was faulty (I have no native SD card reader on my Mac). I bought a new one, and everything is fine and works like a charm.

Yes the new cards are 32 GB, and half full, so I have a LOT of space to add new sounds from my drum libraries (I just have loaded a mix of different GGD libraries and they sound killer!).

It's time to have some fun now :)

Hello there!

After reading a few topics, I haven't found a solution for my issue.

I just received my brand new DrumIt5 Mk2 with the official 2box SD card.
I wanted to load some home made sounds I prepared a few days ago, but the SD card is not detected by my Mac. There's no disk at all displayed in the finder.

Ok, let's find a PC to check this: now the card is shown in a weird way, with several partitions, but it makes Windows explorer crashes. I can't open any partition.

So, what can I do? I've read I must format the card in FAT32 with 32k cluster something, but I don't want to loose all kits and settings...

I have downloaded all files on the 2box website, but is it enough to make it work once the card is formated?

Thank you for your help.
