Yes there is a few great ones, but depends on what you like, I am into snappy in yer face snares.

I mainly use the Pearl Export and Pearl 14 inch Brass Snare, as they have got a great character of their own and cut thru a mix.

Sharing drum sounds - wav / aiff / rex / Hi-Hats

Apart from the stock Hi-hats we have and the extra Sabian Hat, is there any other hats out there that which we can add to our arsenal of dsnd hats, I know you can never have enough hi-hats. But going through the stock hi-hats, I only use a few of them, the others too me are not really much use except the Evolution 14, Groove 15 and the Sabian 2.

Any idea folks?.

Thanks

Yep, I second that. It's one of nicest most natural snares I've played on the kit. Minimal
In ambient and effect, great transients, got a lovely snap to it, would be ace for live or recording. Great work!!!

Sampled a few years ago. Its a Pearl Export Snare with about 35-50 layers, you may need to roll off a bit of hi-end on this as its very, very snappy  :P

Had an email from Bengt giving me the wiring diagram, its not as bad as it looks actually quite straight forward.

I hope its not the case of needing a new hi-hat?.

I'll post some pics up in a while, I have searched the net for a pic showing the hi-hat wiring, I could not find anything, loads of Roland, Yamaha and Alesis hats, but no 2 box!!!.

Ill have to get myself a soldering iron, but it would be great if anyone can point me in the direction of an image of the hi-hat mount wiring and the actual hi-hat metal disk with teeth so I can re-solder it back together.

Without a hi-hat wiring diagram I would not have a clue.
