OK, think this is all sussed now.

And a mapping issue within Superior Drummer 3 (SD3).

Still some confusion over this mapping as the snare F2 and snare rim F2# comes into the SD3 as F1 and F1#.

Ok.

1. Go in to the unit mode...by pressing “unit” on DI3.
2. Hit your DDT MS-140...and see if snare is showing up as selected pad.
3 go to trig page (by pressing pgdn on DI3.
4. Is your setting PADPP? If not...change to PADPP.
5. If you hit your rim now - can you hear anything?
6. Press shift + trigger...(to select the rim settings) / does the trigger type show up as “Rim”?
7, if not, change to “rim”
8. Does the rim work now?
9. If yes...don’t forget to save...

If you get this working...do the same thing with the cymbal...the right setting is CYPSY for this pad type.

Best regards

Anders

Thanx, Anders!  Will give it a try.

Hopefully when this is sorted, I will see these 'transmit' (via MIDI) to my Superior Drummer 3.  And that will be another issue.  SD3 doesn't recognise the same MIDI notes despite what's in the manual :-(

No!

Sorry, I thought you meant there was a function on Drumit-3 to replicate the sound.

But no, that is my problem - I am not hearing the sound at all - from both the ride bell and snare rim.

Thanks,

MW

Pads work fine.

I wouldn't know where to 'run the sound' from Drummit-3......HELP!

Can anyone tell me what the Drummit-3 MIDI or input is for the following:

Snare Drum - RIM

Ride Cymbal - BELL

I have a DDT MS-140 E-Snare and a Yamaha PCY-155A 3-zone cymbal, being used as a ride.

If I can get this bit sorted, I stand a chance of actually seeing it in Superior Drummer 3, which obviously I don't!

I don't even know where to look for these inputs in the selections.

Anyone know how to get the snare-drum rim-shot from Drummit-3?

I just can't seem to generate it at all.

Is there something wrong in my Unit or Kit settings?

What settings do I use in Drumit-3 for a Roland RT-30HR trigger?

What type?  I don't know if it's Piezo/Piezo, Piezo/Switch, or what.

I am struggling to get any rim shot sounds in my 2Box.  Is there some setting for this?

How many zones are allocated to a snare, to include the rim shot?

And before anyone asks the obvious - yes, I am using a 'stereo' TRS cable.

What is 'PAD12' in the settings?

Never heard of that

Is the RT30-HR compatible with 2Box Drummit-3?

If so, what settings for 'type' of input?

I have 3 really good sounds I have downloaded from 2Box Sounds Library.

HOWEVER, having been recommended a certain software to convert them from DSND to .wav, but the software was riddled with viruses and have had my money returned.

Anybody know who can convert DSND to .wav please?

Try page 22 in the manual. Lustar app as well is the best way using the DSsound tuner. Comes with the app embedded in on of the folders when downloaded. Did you get the midi and latency problems solved?

Yes I did, thanks!

A set of new ASIO drivers for the Focusrite 18i20.

I use a Pearl ePro TruTrac head on my snare.

I have never seen a place where you can adjust the rim-shot's on Drum-It 3

I would be grateful if someone can point out here or whereabouts in the manual this is.

I just want to adjust setting for the rim-shots just as I can with the main head.

Also, what pad setting would it be for the Pearl (ePro) Tru-Trac head?

I use these TruTrac heads on my snare (and Kick) as I struggle to get a good snare drum roll on mesh, whereas the toms 'dont matter' so much.

Regarding 'Master Clock' for MIDI, where the hell do I find that out??? !!!!

I have now purchased Superior Drummer 3 (SD3) !

Getting all set up but what a latency nightmare!  I am running this as stand-alone and NOT using Pro-Tools at this stage.

I am struggling to get much volume out of SD3, even though the SD3 mixer sliders are right up.

Maybe I still have to sort these MIDI ports out.  But not sure about configuring MIDI ports on the Laptop when there aren't any?

Also, I still have the outputs connected from DI3 to the Focusrite, so will pull them out this morning.

It's so annoying getting the sound a split second later - it's unplayable as it is.
