Back playing my ekit after a few years playing acoustic.

So I want to revert to factory set-up, use the latest OS, & the original kits. But after checking out the 2Box website (& here) I get the impression that the original kits are no longer available. Can anyone supply? Or do I have to make up my own kits from the considerable sound library available? Bear in mind I still have the original 4gb & don't really want to go messing.....too much!

Oh & I've doctored the original kit bank in the past so do need the original! Yes I know I should have made a backup.........

No difference just a smaller playing area.

Why bother with a cable??? It's an ekit so you don't need a physical connection.
Have a look at my solution here:

I was thinking that i probably use old single kick pedal, take beater off and use that as hihat control pedal.
That's what I did.

I use the Millenium ecymbals albeit the dual zone variety that Thomann supply complete with a nice cymbal arm. If you disassemble the 2-box  cymbal clamp & remove the plastic ball the arm can be clamped with the help of some leftover car radiator hose to pad it out.

Millenium ecymbals can be used with the standard 2-Box arms but are much better supported on proper arms.

This is how I do it:

Suitable drumless tracks in mp3 on computer.

Audacity for playback & recording.

Stereo out on 3 & 4 to mixer (your Behringer would work here). As others have said don't use the phones out.

Suitable connection from mixer to computer for playback & recording.

Mixer then outputs to suitable powered speakers. I also use a Behringer MA400 Micromon headphone amplifier from mixer to headphones for monitoring.

There are some free drum-less tracks available but also some excellent paid for cover versions on http://www.karaoke-version.com/

Audacity is free for Windows, Mac & Linux available here: http://www.audacityteam.org/

As an alternative to a headphone amplifier you could use the headphone out on the mixer; or output from mixer to line-in on the brain & use the headphones out. I use the amp as it gives more control especially for monitoring when playing live.

See my post here on using a fixed position Hi-Hat cymbal & a kick drum pedal.

I've had my kit since 2010: original mk1. The rack was modified retaining the ali 1.5” bars but using Gibraltar legs for the uprights. A standard snare stand supports the snare. Now rock steady.

Never really happy with the Hi-Hat. Bought JMAN's controller box & persevered for a while with the original stand & a Millennium ecymbal. The spring on the stand is so weak that it would bounce up & down creating lots of unpleasant tones. It also rattled like mad.

Modern cars have fly-by-wire throttles so why have a mechanical stand in an edrum set-up?? So junked the stand & used the rather handy cymbal arm supplied free with the cymbal by Thomann
http://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_mps400_stereo_becken_pad.htm. The Millennium ecymbal is a nice bit of economical kit well suited as a practise cymbal. To fit the arm to the 2Box clamp I used some leftover car radiator hose to pad it out.

Now what to use for a pedal?? …..........out came my spare kick-drum pedal from my acoustic kit. With the JMAN box (thanks Jerry) on the flat floor plate all that was needed was some junk wood to fix in the clamp to stop it rattling & some self adhesive rubber to provide a pedal stop.
