Hi, Everyone. Two years ago, I bought Jman's stealth triggers for acoustic drums and regular acoustic cymbal conversion, connected to 2Box Drumit 5. The kit has worked pretty well for me except for a few problems that I'm hoping some of you can assist since the great Jman is no longer with us:

1) I grew to hate the sound and feel of hitting the cymbals with the vinyl dampener sheet installed, so today I bought some Zildjian L80 cymbals to replace those. I want to reinstall the same triggers on the L80s, but I know the installation process will be at least a little different with these perforated cymbals with no vinyl dampener sheet. Does anyone have JMan's instructions for installing these triggers on perforated cymbals like the L80s? It might take a small miracle to cleanly drill the big hole into the bottom hi-hat cymbal, etc.

2) My crash cymbal triggers recently became very inconsistent in recognizing when I have hit the cymbal. Any suggestions?

3) The double-sided tape on the drum rim triggers won't remain stuck to the inside of the shells. Any suggestions for quality tape that will keep sticking?

Thanks for your help!

I see that Lustar has software to convert VST to other formats, but what about the other direction? I have just started to use my acoustic kit with JMan's stealth triggers into my 2box module to record MIDI drum tracks into Reaper. I like the sounds in my 2Box and would be happy to use them in my recording. Rather than have the MIDI recording play back through the 2box module while I adjust the drum MIDI and build the rest of the recording, I would like the 2box sounds to be in the PC. Is there a way to convert .dsnd files to files that can be used in ReaSamplOmatic5000 or MT-PowerDrumKit-2 or something else within Reaper? Since I intend to track my physically playing the drums into MIDI recording, and I already have good sounds in the 2box, I really don't want to buy an expensive drum VST.
Thanks for your help!

I bought the SD card from Jman and want to do the mod without the card extender cable by cutting a slot in the side of the module that will allow me to directly insert and remove the card from the internal slot. Has anyone else done this before? If so, what tool and technique did you use to cut the opening? Do you have any pictures? I intend to just cover the new slot with gaffer tape or rubber.
Thanks for your help!
