Anticipating the arrival of my 2nd Drumit Five module Monday (thanks Graham), so I have been building some new sounds for the new 2Box module and I switched my Stealth kits again, (acrylics out of the bags and the Birdseye maple kit back in the bags ). The 2Box modules will run all my drums, cymbals, and lectrobans. My percussion section will be based around my HPD-15 for now, with the Alesis Trigger iO Xtra percussion pads MIDI'd into the HPD-15.

When I was starting to set up my blue acrylic lectrobans one of my monitor speakers and stand fell over, started the chain reaction and knocked over two of my lectrobans on their stand and cracked em to pieces. So, fortunately when you have a severe case of GAS like me, you have a few extra of everything! I had some extra tubing I never used .... so I built a couple medium sized replacements today.(http://weblogimages.com/dajmando/Acrylic%20Lectroban%20Blues%20drummer%20view%20small.jpg)

Looking good, Jerry.
Does two 2boxes make a 4box, or is the total greater than the sum of the parts?

Great looking kit Jman, and, as always, a rain forest of cymbals!  :) Congrats!

Thanks Rythm .... Ian

Man .....  I have spent the entire weekend working on various aspects of the kit and prepping for the transition from the TD to the 2nd 2Box .... still a lot to do, and the extender mod, Memory card mod to the 2Box module when it arrives ..... relabelling tons of cables, etc....

Got a call from FedEx today saying to expect the module by 10:30 AM tomorrow .... I'm suppose to be going off to work in the morning ..... but .....  :)

I received my new Drumit Five module today. I unboxed it tested it out .... then waisted no time doing the 32GB memory mod with extender slot. I also had a spare module mount I used previously with a Roland module. I made a couple slots in it corresponding to the module mount holes .... it works fine... So the 2 Box twins are now in place and I have already assigned all the instruments for the #1 Vistalite kit. Lots of fun ...  :patbat2box:

I like the "his" and "hers" card slots - one on the left and one on the right! Very clever to avoid boxing yourself in.
Looking forward to another of your great video demos.

Thanks Allan: Yeah, I decided to do the card slot on the opposite side at the last minute before I closed the module back up, I had it on the right, but thought about it getting 2 boxed in  ;)
It's been a substantial amount of work switching over from the Roland module to the 2Box. I rebuilt my 2 Crashes and Ride cymbal to my 2Box method .... have been building new dsnds for the new module ... like a slew of FIXED HH dsnds .... I went ahead and built most of the HH's I already have in the first module into fixed HH's with Closed, Open 1, Open 2 and Open 3 choices for all ..  I really like having those choices ... really nice to have a slushy HH sound at will.... By the way, with DSoundTool, using the 0 choice you can build nice Fixed HH's with either single zone for everything or both bow and edge.
I've built a few gongs using Down tuned Chinas from SD 2.0  .... new Cowbells, wind chimes from EZX (Latin Percussion) And a few sets of Octobans (approximations) from a few different samples reworked...

All those things plus the miriad of wires and I still have more to deal with ... I haven't even begun to reroute my Trigger iO percussion pads/instrument to the HPD-15 yet .... It's turning out OK though.... I still have a bit of crosstalk on a couple things to deal with .... but lots of time to get it setup the way I like...

Edrum Attic really came though for me .... Ordered on Fri, from UK to the USA delivered 9:30 AM Monday!!!! And it had the proper AC adapter for the U S .... Cool.
Thanks Graham, and Darren!! Top Notch all the way!!! J
