I decided to buy an extra couple of these for myself, but this time I could not find any of the extender cables for adding the SD slot to the exterior of the drum module from retail sellers. I only found larger quantities available from the factories. So I bought 20 of them.
The ones I have do not have a red light like in the photo (stock photo), but they are spring loaded and the card locks in place when you push it in. A nicer feature than the original one that I used on my module.
Like my title says, If you can't find one of these elsewhere to purchase I have some extras. $15 ea. USD. They are compact and light so shipping will be reasonable. Send me a PM with your location if interested... Thanks, Jerry
All the extras are now gone! Thank God! Now I won't be going to the Post Office 5 days a week!!! ;D ;D
got it today and put it in...everything fine, thanks so much!
just one question---it says 16GB and i ordered a 32GB card...is that going to be a problem?
can not try it yet, cause the card is not yet there...
No problem at all. Got mine from Jman too and it is also labeled with "16GB". But i'm using a 32GB card without problems. As far as i know Jman uses 32GB cards with this extender too.
Regards, Manfred
thought so! just wanted to make shure!
thanks!
Yes, no worries they work for all size cards.
already love it! can't wait to get the larger card!
all a *next generation* brain would need is an sd card slot on the outside!
now i'll get back to making new samples! F U N !
Yeah, mine only mentions 16gb but the 32gb card works fine (just received my Transcend 32gb the other day, works like a charm!)
Would some of you who have used this extension cable post a picture showing how you have attached it to the module?
Cheers.

Here is the thread that Manfred posted using one:

Did my own pretty much the same:

That way there is no cutting holes or modifying the module physically.
Thanks for the links Jman.
NO MORE LEFT, GONE!
All hope is lost...

Now that really SUCKS! :(
Yes. Yes it sucks very hard.
Damn man I want one too.
Yeah, sorry guys. When I bought the last lot of 20 I wanted a couple myself. Couldn't find any other way to buy them at the time in the US. So I went ahead and picked up 20 thinking others might find the same problem. Obviously from the response especially in the last few weeks others have run into the same problem. But it really is a bit of a hassle for me because for these little items I had to fill out customs forms and stand in line at USPS several times a week, something I don't really want to continue on an ongoing basis ..... J
happy to get one from you before you got tired of it :)
i'm pretty shure though someone's going to find a solution!
