Title: 2 single zone cymbals in 1 channel
Post by: Ritchiedrums on October 22, 2022, 08:34:14 PM
I want to split the main TRS input so my 10" Pintech plays one zone & a 12" Roland plays the other.
I've tried various cables & adapters,
But both pads trigger the same zone?

The cymbal inputs cannot be split as they are expecting a trigger on the tip and a switch on the ring. You can however split the snare and tom inputs by using a TRS->TSx2 (stereo to mono) splitter cable and with the sound for your second cymbal bound to the corresponding percussion channel.

Cheers!

Thanx Ken!

Now can I put a tom pad in a Top Cymbal input & use it as my second floor tom with Rim?

Very suboptimal to use the limited amount of cymbal inputs on the 2box for a tom pad - but to answer your question; yes technically a tom pad will trigger from the cymbal input, 1 (head) zone only, but you will not have optimal mesh head trigger configs available on that cymbal input.
