Title: Lost headphone sound
Post by: Robcod on September 18, 2021, 11:44:53 AM
So I have a lot of posts from years back when my drumit 5 power adapter malfunction and fried my board leaving me in a months long process of mailing my unit around the world. That problem was never resolved and 2box led me astray. In the meantime I had bought a drumit three to replace my other unit until repairs were finished( never happend) well I'm sad to say that my drumit three unit has lost 90% of it sound through the headphones and there is no low end. I'm going to the studio to grab a speaker to check the main output. The folks at 2box replied to my inquiry but have left me high and dry. Has anybody had this problem? Maybe it's time to admit these units aren't as reliable as we thought? Neither malfunction happened during a live setting but have caused me to gig with different equipment, last minute. I may have some Jman parts (rip jerry) and sour man box to sell!!

Hi. To check hp out, you can use any normal stereo trs to 2 x mono ts cable and plug in a amp or mixer to check the level without having the relative hi load (low hp impedance) affecting the sound.

On the unit-out page, phons parameter, you can select 7+8! which will give the same fixed line level as 1 to 6.
Maybe called 5+6! since di3 has 6 outs.
(The out12 par can also be at fixed level with 1+2! )

This way you know if the hp out is all bad or just cant drive a lo imp load.

That's a good point. I will get on it. 2box stopped responding to emails, but the good news is i purchased a mimic pro. Time to move on I guess.
