Title: Drumit 3 vs Dkit Manger for changing sounds
Post by: Dobly on March 21, 2021, 01:30:04 AM
I have tom 1 split so the rim runs up to a crash cymbal.

If I use the D3 to pick a different crash for that rim, it also sets tom 1 to that crash sound.

In Dkit manager, I can set the rim to whatever sound I like.

Is this a short coming of the D3 that Dkit Manager addresses? Or am I doing it wrong?

In the Unit settings did you change the pad type of the tom rim to a pad type? Normally when splitting a tom input the rim should be set to a different type than "rim" so that the module treats it as a separate input. It should allow to set any different dsnd for the rim when you select the rim zone (at least on the DrumIt 5)

I just checked.. The pad type for the cymbal on tom rim 1, is set to PadPP already.

Ok, I fixed it..

First I RTFM...

Then set the rim to AcTr1 2box, Ddrum Piezo Piezo

All good now..
