Title: 3 triggers vs 1 - Is more better?
Post by: StudioG4 on March 03, 2020, 06:45:53 PM
I assume that using 3 triggers on a snare drum would be more consistent in triggering,
but will it also make the drum to be more sensitive to ghost notes?
Does anyone have an opinion/experience with the concept?
I see some companies offering this as an alternative but is it really worth exploring?
Just a thought.

It depends on what module and heads you're using, but in general they work ok,

I'm using an original Drumit 5 with a 13" Roland Power Ply head.
If it doesn't drastically improve on the tracking, then I won't do it, but I was hoping to get a definitive opinion.
Thanks.

What trigger pad are you using? Jman highly recommends his ISM6 trigger system, the videos demonstrating it would appear it's as good a trigger as there is.
