Title: More calibration advice
Post by: sheguitarplayer on October 18, 2019, 11:18:23 AM
Hi
I just can’t get this sorted and was hoping someone might be able to help. I’m trying to dial in both a Roland vh13 hi hat and a Roland triple zone ride. I have followed the manual and zouhrmanns video s but still can’t seem to get it right. I have dialled in the 3 zone ride so that the bell and how are balanced ‘H” on the bell setting.  It unfortunately the edge sound seems too loud. I can’t seem to find a way to adjust the volume of the edge. Secondly calibrating the vh13 is proving difficult. I can’t get it quite right re the hi hat opening in a natural position. Secondly sometimes when I strike the hi hat and open it (pea soup) the opening of the hi hat is very quiet. An dead sounding. Does anyone know what he raw setting actually does and if that can help. I have messed around with it but without knowing what it actually does it’s kind of like stabbing in the dark. I have a Roland td30 module and the pads work fire with them without any adjustments so it’s obviously down to user error setting up the drumit 3

Hi!

I am guessing you tried my best settings described in the manual. https://zourman.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/ZD_HH_Three_10.pdf

Here you have both VH-13 and CY-15R described...and I got quite good results using these settings on my three when writing the manual.

Try to browse around around the sound banks and try some other sounds to see if the edge sound is lower on some other samples. There is a way to change the edge volume...but you need to take them out from 2box and edit them on a PC using the DrumIt editor.

Best Regards

Hi,
I've been having similar problems calibrating my vh 11.

Does anyone know what adjusting the raw value actually does?

cheers
Tim
