Title: The Good Free Drum Samples Thread...
Post by: fishmonkey on May 06, 2010, 11:10:45 PM
hey

i thought i'd start a thread for links to good quality free drum samples...

i'll kick it off with a nice brush kit from Soniccouture:

http://www.soniccouture.com/en/products/p40-brush-kit/

"Recorded at a top UK studio in 2001, and engineered by Alan Fisher, engineer for Bjørk, among many others. The kit has a great sound, as you'd expect. The ambient room mics are left separate so they can be mixed to taste."

Thx
But do those NI or Reason format samples fit into the 2Box?

Sorry to be so ungrateful
but the most samples are 1 or 2 shots
No dynamics. The 2Box samples are better IMO

Companies like soniccouture won't publish their best libraries for free, but aim to sell them

no problem. what i meant was that the samples might be useful for experimenting with.

i doubt there are many fully multi-sampled kits out there for free...

Yep, there aren't any
Only at the illegal download circuit
And even then the quality isn't always that good
