The heads. To my knowledge , although, each, offering a different feel, they would all be compatible
However the pad units themselves may not. I know from experience that Roland, Pintech, Goe drums , 682 drums, Z ed, Billy blast, remo Silent stroke on my acoustic to electronic conversion  are compatible as well as many diy choices. I never owned a 2 box PAD but Have had an a to e kit with 2 2box modules. Many  members here have tried a lot of different ones  if you are after a particular pad and 2 box module pairing!

The short answer is "yes", but triggering will depend on a number of factors, not least of which is the actually trigger mechanism. Are you talking about changing the heads on a 2box pad or converting an acoustic pad to electronic?
