Title: Adjusting the hihat
Post by: xaronv on December 23, 2009, 10:30:48 AM
I've followed the instruction to calibrate the hihat without having satisfactory results. So an idea came to me.
Why not calibrate it while pressing the pedal instead of only loosing the cymbal as describe in the manual.
so it's what i did. I put the cymbal at the correct position onto the stand, i pressed the pedal as i used to do and i pushed the pedal button to calibrate it on the unit.
Now the hihat work as expected. I can have the close, half open and open sound quite easily, you still have to pay attention of the strengh of your feet, but with little training everything is allright.

I hope i'm clear.

See ya

Heh, you know what, I think I did exactly the same thing by accident while I was playing around with the settings and I'm really happy with how it feels and sounds.

Great found
It worked similar on the ddrum4, so why not on this unit ...
