"wouldn't such a splitter be TRS to TS + RS? "
Yes, -from-  ts and rs, but -to- two times ts.

Hi. To check hp out, you can use any normal stereo trs to 2 x mono ts cable and plug in a amp or mixer to check the level without having the relative hi load (low hp impedance) affecting the sound.

On the unit-out page, phons parameter, you can select 7+8! which will give the same fixed line level as 1 to 6.
Maybe called 5+6! since di3 has 6 outs.
(The out12 par can also be at fixed level with 1+2! )

This way you know if the hp out is all bad or just cant drive a lo imp load.

Hi. Any normal Y  trs to 2 x ts cable will work. The special one is for the rol module.
Cheers.

The DDrum Legacy / Re: Ddrum AT service manual

It's too bad, because just those older electronics -can- often be repaired.
Often easy to access rather large components, if they still exist of course.
But if it's analog things, a detective mind and a scope can get you far.
Start with the supply voltages, etc...
Best of luck,
Deve.

Hi. Very sorry, dont have it. Try Clavia (nord keyb nowadays), you never know...

ddrum5 -> DrumIt5 !
Allthough not with freescale 68k host processor, 56k dsp and (limited size) nor flash.
Instead ARM9 and nand flash on sd card.
Originally just 1 GB, which was waaay more than anything out there (incl nord electro),
but then at release 4 GB. Still a lot today considering e.g Gewa G9/5 has "only" 2 GB for user samples.

Hi Ken!
Yep, I was actually doing ddrum5 embryo when Hans came in one day and asked, if we can do sampled drums then we can do sampled pianos, same type of percussive decaying sounds.
So I used the basic same hw with nor flash memory and that became the first nord electro.
Big credit to Björn for doing the organ part.
Cheers!

Aha, nice! But you did the mod on a mk1 rack, aka, the one with thinner legs?
There was also the mk2 rack, so in hindsight confusing with the later mk2 module...

Anyway, yes, plans still coming together :-)

Hi Henrik. Välkommen!
Ser nr 22xx is an orange Mk1 module I guess?
Still going strong that one.
Hoppas du orkar trumma trots värmen :-)
Best, Deve (Stockholm).

Hi Murgen.
"2Box Drumit 5 Mk2 since 2012"
That's for sure back to the future after the past became the prequel to nowadays! :-)

Thanks for your feedback all. Nice to hear you still dig DrumIt.
About the last issue, I thought there would be 3 zone midi support, since they now have 3 zone snare sounds.
Who knows, maybe a pretty day in the future me and 2box could agree upon making updates...?
Glad midsommar från Sverige!

Hi all.
Now and then I read the posts about DrumIt. Partly happy to see people still like it, partly sad to see problems.
However, since I am not actively involved anymore since the original "mk1", I can not help out much.
Sometimes I have a hunch what the problem might be, but it's out of my hands. When I have a constructive idea, I will chime in.
Best regards, Deve.

I answered on the ddrum forum, so why not here too...

Here are ddrum4 eprom images. See rel notes below.

Hi.
From the kit select page, press Save, if you want it saved at the same kit num, press Save again.
Done.
So quick save is just like double press Save.

General 2Box Drumit 3 Forum / Re: MIDI Choke for Cymbals
February 09, 2021, 10:09:34 PM
Hi. Well, this is as it should be. For the original DrumIt version (upto 1.22), I made a choke which resembles a real choke.
Just pinching a real cymbal a short time does not choke it all the way.
But hold it longer and it dies out.
So on DrumIt, start of pinch is note on (on zone9), end of pinch, note off. The longer time, the more energy is dissipated, the lower the volume.
In your case, can you set the controller to have a longer time between note on and off for each hit?
For regular DrumIt trigger the note off is ignored, so you can set it longer for all notes on your controller.
Anyway, I will make a setting for it in the future...
Best, Deve
