I plan to use flightcases, and if someone has already thought of a good system, feel free to suggest...
Thank's
hi,
i use this: http://www.thomann.de/de/rockbag_rb23510b_combotrolley.htm (http://www.thomann.de/de/rockbag_rb23510b_combotrolley.htm)
because i happen to have it and because all the pads fit perfectly in there with their cardboard cases ...
it's not sturdy enough though...
I've just bought this http://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_edrumgigbag.htm
It accommodates all pads (kick pad is somewhat bigger but eventually it would fit in a you can still comfortably zip the bag). And I also put in the brain and Iron Cobra HiHat stand, Slingerland snare stand and cymbal stand and chair stand.
I don't disassemble the rack, just fold it and it is easy to carry around.
I think the bag padding is thick enough and the whole thing seems to be quite sturdy. For the price it's OK.
Great!
I will look for it here in Switzerland!
I am building it in a flightcase/little rollaway stage at this moment
Hate to setup things every time
Thats a cheap bag compared to the one sold by www.drum-tec.de:

There is also a Protection Racket case that looks quite good, and is in between the price of the Millenium and Drum-tec bags. See what you think:

I have a Protection Racket snare case, cymbal bag with shoulder straps and stick case already and they are very sturdy so I would imagine this will be the same build quality.
However these are all soft cases. Does anyone know of a good e-kit hard case?

looks great ;D real custom stuff!
Yes, great
But where's the rack?
To be honest I'd rather keep the hardware seperate from the pads and module, so I know which bag to save in case of an emergency ;) Nice flight case but this is an Italian store can I buy this from the UK?
Hey,
I bought Macleod's suggestion of the bag from Thomann earlier in the year.
It was a good size bag for the price as it managed to fit into my Corsa - just, however the base has now started to come loose, simply due to the weight of the kit while being carried.
I was thinking If I stuck with a bag, to seperate the pads into two different bags.
I still havn't seen much in terms of hard cases being used for the 2box ecxept that Italian site that was recommended.
Has anyone come up or noticed any new types of hardcase / bag since this topic was started?
I use a hard plastic tool case (a bigger version of this one: http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_85l-hduty-on-wheels-007_3059.aspx?search=storage+bin&searchType=any&searchSubType=products&page=15) for the pads and a regular hardware bag for the hardware.
I use two small wood cases (one with wheel) for pads, hardware and chair. The rack hangs on hooks in the bus on tour.
