I have the m box
A midi to usb cable from m box out to my computer.
An m box mini ( latest software coz of the issue too)
An imac 27 with 16 gb of ram ( expanded from 4 to 16 judt because of this issue)
Lion OS latest version
Pro tools 10
Drumasonic luxury
Kontak 5

The issue started when I began to record
Midi on a pt session the kontakt with the drumasonic running
Suddenly all stops and it ask me to increase cpu power..
So i bought ram i changed the play back engine,
I did all that i could find on mac forums and pt forums
I unistalled pt,mbox mini and reinstalled all from zero.
the same problem again poped up.
i just created
•an audio track with the guitars and bass
•An audio stereo track
•A midi track
Clearly it is not an issue with the imac.
Any help with that will be appreciatted
Thank you

Just one piece of the puzzle: Mac RAM tends to diminish overtime if you got your Mac on all the time (slumber included). I installed an app on my Mac to keep RAM cleaned up. I have got an iMac with 8 GB and run FreeMemory (Pro) now and that works.

Oh thanks
So you mean you had same issue?
And  the cleaning ram cleaner software
Will maybe solve the problem?

Not the same issue but a simular one. IMac kept freezing for minutes with a lot of hd-activity. Something you should not expect from a Mac. FreeMemory shows free memory in top bar of screen and with the command to free up memory I prevent the freezing.
