thank you so much. but i dont understand how we exactly use this file?
where shall i put it?
thanx
#827
no this isnt the issue. i called the distributors and they told me they replaced it before sending it to me...i dont think they lied
#828
i agree,if we had the choice to remove the accent of the first beat, ot have it, would be the best thing

but for me the most basic and important thing, is for the metronome to work correctly. cause right now, for me, it doesnt.
and i am forced to use a metronome from my pc, to play. and i hate it cause i have to get up everytime to change the bpms
#829
any help regarding on how to remove the sensor from the middle and removing also the light plate with the cables would be awesome. othwerwise i will have to send it over to my countrys retailers, and id rather avoid it if i could
thanx

deve if i get it correctly, you are the engineer of the 2box software. in that case thank you for your hard efforts

please if you can , check the metronome issues. it happens all the time to me, and i notice it because i study exercises with metronome all the time. and when i play lets say for 4 minutes, all of a sudden it plays weird. it loses rhythm. it is as if there is a wav with the correct rhythm and when this wav finishes and starts over, at that point it plays funny and it loses the rhythm.

also, please, please, i know it may be a lot to ask, but can you make also a choice that we can have all beeps of metronome to have the same volume? i dont like to have the first volume being more loud than the others....
once again thank you very very much

ps. mp3 support would also be awesome but i guess you already know that. as would a 100 kit mimitation removal  be

thanx once again

this happens to me also in version 1.10

dont know why but metronome gets out of count all the time

No effect on the kit sounds

You can turn (make roll) one of the three buttons down the screen, but you can also click on them.
Here, you have to press on the middle button to display the values of the midi notes.
i am so happy the notes doesnt change the sound of the kit!!!!

if i tell you that i didnt know that you can press on the buttons i know you will laugh at me

anyway thank you so much

hi guys. id like to ask a midi question

are MIDI notes in 2box and the Drum Voices totally independent of each other, so changing MIDI notes has no effect out the sounds they make? or reassigning midi notes has a direct effect on how the kit sounds?

i want to reassign the midi notes, so that i can use a device called midi pro adapter to connect the 2box with my xbox360 so that i am able to play rock band...

also in the manual it says

NOTE selects the MIDI note for the note on and off messages. If the
associated trigger type has more than one zone (like cup, bow and
edge), the additional zones are mapped onto consecutive higher
notes. Click the dial to switch between note name and note number.
MIDI note 0 corresponds to C-1 and note 60 to C4.

thing is, there is no dial button in the brain, tried everything and it cant change between note name and note number...

thanx for the replies

thank you guys for the reply. i will give a go at the roland mesh heads i suppose...thank you very much

i would like to add a bug in this 1.10 firmware.
i noticed it yesterday and today. i was playing my exercises for about 4 hours. i was playing alongside the metronome. it was in 4/4

i noticed that every now and then it suddenly got out of beat by itself for about 2-3 bars and then it went back in order.

it was as if for some seconds it played 16 notes and not quarter notes. dunno why. has it happened to anyone else?
#836
thanx for that info. i was also thinking about roland as my teacher uses them but i would like to read your experiences. you think that the 2box rebound is close to the real drums rebound or is it more? i cant judge it as i am inexperienced...

May I ask why dayawanna do that? If you just like the look of the MKII I understand it, but do u understand that eventually it doesn't represent a huge enhance in terms of audio?, some people claims better playability, but so far I'm happy with mine...and its light makes the kit to look awesome.

well mate i had serious trigger problems. no matter how hard i hit it, it wouldnt trigger. unless i had the curve in max2. i removed the small foam part, and is great now and much much quieter. when i removed the whole foam, it was not that great cause i had double triggering. (probably cause the sensor should be on the bottom part...). so i could leave it as is now, but with the middle foam removed, i can see the back light and it is ugly. i didnt pay so much money to have it ugly!!!

:-\ weird.....last time I checked....it was written on  page 35 of the manual (for which, BTW I gave you the link above)

i didnt read the last pages of the manual. that was my mistake i am sorry. i didnt do that because they were for editing sounds and i am afraid to strat editing right away

This is done with the kit editor, this is the download link: http://www.2box.se/Pages/editor.html
And here is its user manual: http://www.2box.se/Downloads/Quickstart-editor-1.0.1.pdf
thanx i will check it. from what i guess i will remove an unwanted kit and add the other

You won't have a china sounding like a crash...you'll have a Crash, period. It's like you have a folder named Excel, in which you want to place your *.xlsx files, if by mistake you place a Doc *.docx file you won't end up by having a spreadsheet looking like a document, just simply have a Doc in a folder supposed to hold Excel files. What are the implications for this...virtually none, except that your organizing system failed and probably finding that Doc file will be a mess.

thanx mate

whatdaya mean? hot like you can't even touch it, or hot as another adapter (e.g. a computer charger)? - If the former, then I'd worry, if the latter..well it's normal  ;)
yes mate it was REALLY hot. i found it very strange. i will check this also tomorrow to see if it gets hot while i play or if it is hot all the time. at the moment i have it unplugged just for the sake of it

That depends on how hard beater you are, it's like on acoustic kits, some people destroy the heads quite easily, other ones don't have that problem. I have both Mapex beater and TDRUM protector, however, when I used just the mapex beater I didn't notice any wear out either.
good to know mate. thanx

As I told you before, it's not a problem; however, IMHO I think you should first sit down and READ the manual, then understand what is the instrument you have about. Once you have experienced and read (manual and other threads) and you don't find your question solved, start a new thread or similar. I personally understand your excitement about your new 2Box, but I really think you should take it easy, and first document yourself. For instance, most of the answer to your questions on this thread were / are in the manuals, for pete sake, they're not that long for not reading them, are they?

---N.B. Please don't get my comment wrong, I'd try to help you as much I my knowledge allows me, but please force yourself to find the answers beforehand. Probably it's professional deformation. As I'm a researcher, that's the path I follow for everything in my life.

mate i didnt get it wrong thanx for everything and for your advice. i have read the whole forum and have been reading it for many weeks... it is just that i was too eager to find everything out i guess...
i thing all or most my questions are answered and i thank you for that...

(i have answered your answers in the quote, if you didnt see it)

one last question that hasnt to do with the brain etc.
since i am not an experienced drummer at all i have some concerns.

i was playing for a year in a kit with rubber pads. hard ones. without nopt much rebound

this was today actually, my first day of playing with it cause i spent the last few days adjusting the kit.
i noticed that the rebound was way too much. if i had it very tightened it was even bigger. the stick could easily knife my eye out while i played
i would like to ask. is the rebound on 2box mesh heads, way too much? or is it actually close to the real deal. to the real acoustic drums rebound?
if it is way too much, can i reduce it by getting other type of mesh heads? any suggestions?
and should i have the mesh tightened very much or loose? concerning that i want to have them to feel like a real drum head.

i was playing 16 notes earlier today and i had the mesh loose and couldnt play them properly. i tightened the snare and it was better but more bouncy. i am puzzled but i dont have the experience to understand if 2box is great or not concerning the rebound, and just that...
thats why id like your experience on this.

that was my alst question thanx very very much. i will now investigate my brain more carefull yand the next time i ask something it will be something that really really needs answering. thanx once again

ps. i dont see too many custom kits around on this site...i suppsoe you all like the default ones?

take care and thanx for everything
#838
yet another question. after playing for about 2 hours i noticed that the plug of the brain that was in the lectricity socket, got really really hot. should i worry guys?

also i see tha tthe tennis ball beater isnt as snappy as i would like it to be. if i change it with a pearl eliminator beater, will i damage the mesh head?
if i use this

  TDRUM PROTECTION DOT BASS DRUM

http://www.thomann.de/gr/tdrum_protection_dot_bass_drum.htm

will the mesh be safe?

oh my god i have so many questions. please be patient with me. ok now that i have established the usb connection, i want to transfer things in the brain. first question.
if i want to just add samples, for example i want to add the walnut samples from the official site
do i just copy the correct samples dsnd samples in the correct folders, for example i put each tom sound in the tom folder?
can i have them categorised in a subfolder? for example if i create a subfolder that is named walnut toms, inside the tom folder of the brain, if i put the samples in the newly created subfolder, will it work?
in the cymbal folder it has many subfolders. so for instance, i have to put a china sample, in the china subfolder. if i accidentally put a crash sample in the china subfolder, the only problem will be that i will have a china sounding like a crash?

my most serious question. i downloaded the apollo 440 drum set samples.
but i dont know where to put them. i thought they would be just one file, but it is many files like the way walnut samples were.

but how do i create this apollo 440 drumset? i dont know where to put it. do i have to put each apollo 440 samples in the correct folder? will then the brain "see" the apollo 440 set? or not? how can i make the brain to see it?

also if i donload play-along mp3s, in which folder should i put em in so that i can play on them/?
thanx
#840
ok thanx i also read this in 2 box site, but where is this top left data button? i cant see it. am i so stupid? or what?
no data button in my brain...
on the display screen on the left of it is save function, when i open the brain....

ok i found it. the buttons had to be pressed simultaneously. it was written nowhere... i was lucky!!!!
