Title: 2box with diamond pads
Post by: deadbrain on February 19, 2011, 05:27:48 PM
hi everibody

i'm from italy (excuse me for my english)
i have an edrum composed by roland td12 module (sucks!!!) and diamond pads (http://www.diamondelectronicdrums.com/) 100% compatible with roland modules.

they are 2 piezo (head/rim) and i need to know if the 2box module will works with other type of pads, for example roland.

the sound of the 2box is really amazing... i'm really interested to buy the 2box module, 2box hat and 3 2box cymbals.

another question.

the hat and the cymbals could be mounted on standard hat/cymbal stand, right?

thanks for your help

I can only speak for Roland TD20 and ddrum4se, but I have used Roland mesh pads with the ddrum4se, I have used Boom Theory (similar I think to Diamond) with TD20 and ddrum4se, and they all worked very well.

I think there is more compatibility amongst the brains and pads than the makers care to admit to, I am sure they are at their best when you have a ddrum, or 2box pad with a ddrum or 2box module/brain, but (for me) I cant tell much difference.

See this thread for information on this very topic - I believe user ronniev has diamond drum pads and they work very well :  http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,533.msg5859.html#msg5859 (http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,533.msg5859.html#msg5859)
