Title: Hi-hat foot control suddenly stopped working
Post by: StevieDrums on February 23, 2022, 08:25:48 PM
Hi all,

Well, as it says, my MK 1 Drumit 5 hi-hat foot control is suddenly not working. It's getting a signal OK as I can see the hi-hat icon moving as well as the signal number going up and down. Just no chick sound and no closed hi-hat sound when playing with foot down. HHPOS is set to OFF and I've swapped leads - all good.

Any ideas?

Have you tried re-calibrating it?

Yep, three times. Performs the process as if it's working fine but still not working.  :(

okay, any other things, does the cymbal part still trigger okay, like edge and bow even if the open/close/chick function is not working?
Title: Re: Hi-hat foot control suddenly stopped working UPDATE!

It's working! Did a firmware update - still wasn't working after. BUT, then I tried calibrating again and this time...success!

Thanks for the responses guys

Oh and I just realised I posted in the wrong forum - mine is a Drummit 3!!!

Ahhh, I thought it was an original Drumit5...

That would have changed my original reply, though to recalibrate it would have been my first reply none the less. Glad you got it sorted.
