Im currently playing around with some pedal mounted trigger on my acoustic kit (OnTrigger gen 3's for anyone thats interested).
Looking through the unit menu, and choosing the correct 'pad type', I'm left wondering how the different types are interpreted by the module.
Is it just a different bracket of gain or sensitivity settings? How the unavoidably simultaneous signals on the tip/ring/sleeve interact? Or does it go deeper with actual response time, different envelopes...etc
Looking forward to being schooled!
Cheers

(literally just signed up to the forum today after getting my 2nd hand Box5 MK1 through the post, so apologies if this question is in the wrong place)
I have also wondered this myself, so am curious to see if anyone does have an answer, or what you find out if you experiment with this. They're all supposed to be optimized for different types of pads, but I don't know what would happen if you used the wrong pad type, I imagine some of them might not change much and some would.
