Hi

I've been recording with a Roland TD9KX for the past couple of years and have been so frustrated by the inflexible sounds within the unit. Having read about the 2Box for the past year or so and having demo'd the kit recently - this is definitely the way forward for me. I can't afford the whole kit initially but I am considering buying the stand-alone 2Box module. Does anyone know how compatible the 2Box module is with the Roland TD9KX set up. Can I use it straigt out of the box or will I need to replace the static Roland hi-hat & pedal with a 2 box hi-hat and hi-hat stand?

everything is quite compatible , exept the hihat ....

you have 2 solutions

1  you buy a 2box hh cymbal

2 you contact Manfred from this forum , he makes a box that enables hh control with other brand cymbals ...  i use one with a ROLAND CY-5 and it works great ....

Here is a link with all details ...

Where are you based? I built a HH controller using Manfred's board, but I now have a 2box HH, so I don't need it.
