Title: Quiet bell and making louder
Post by: Lollingsgrad on September 16, 2021, 01:32:36 PM
I'm using my 2box through a Yamaha DXR15 and I'm finding the bell to be inaudible. If I crank the gain for the unit (as in the H from the <gain value>@L/M/H settings e.g. 8@H) it's better but the edge sound is too loud. Any tips on how to get the bell sound louder in isolation, preferably across all kits?

Buy Drumit Manager by Lustark (https://www.lustark.com/drumit-manager) and use the DSound Manager part of it to increase the volume of the bell sample.

Having configurable velocity curve per zone would be the best way to resolve this issue. If 2box ever want to make that into an update... yeah not likely.

As halftime says, using DSound Manager is the only way. You can raise the volume by up to 6 dB then save it. Just be mindful it's adding gain on the samples themselves - so the noise floor will also be raised.
