MIDI (THRU!?) QUESTION

Hi, I'm Alex from Italy.
I have connect the midi out of my Roland Octapad to midi in of the 2Box brain. All right, with the Octa I can play the sounds.
The problem now is that if I connect the midi out of the 2Box brain, I don't have any trasmission (midi thru!?) of the midi signal (played on the octapad) to my daw. If I connect, for example, the snare 2box pad, i have the transmission of the midi signal.
There is a way to transmitt a midi signals from octapad to 2Box brain and from here to my daw?
Another question. The sounds are stored natural, no compression, eqs, of are to be processed?
