Hello!

We are Top40-band from Finland. We planning to start (and soon will...) using DrumIt5 at our gigs. Thats great for sure. But, there are some questions wed like to get answered.

For starters,

1) Is it possible to route click from the brain to some of its outputs?
-Because wed like to send click to FOH and then returned via auxes (in ear monitoring) for individual volume control...

2) How easily can you re-arrange order of drumsets (presets)?
-Lets say that we have 18 songs in our setlist on that night, some of which have different drum sounds. Wed like to arrange presets so we just load next song after another in right order. And for next night, setlist changes, we would need to re-arrange presets...

Thanks for help. We wait anxciously to get DrumIt5.

Re-arranging presets is possible but not easy. There's no ''chain'' function like on Roland modules
But do you need 18 different sounds?

Metronome is sent to the MIX and can be excluded with REMIX

Ok. Thanks for info.

No, we dont need 18 different drumsets. We plan to import some backing vocals and maby different fx to brain. And then trigger those with some extra pad. So it would be handy to have those presets arranged in order to easily go on with the show.

What comes to click routing, i didnt quite get it. -Is it possible to route click to dedicated output (could be main outs? headphones?) and only have click from there?

Just now we have Roland SPD-S (for samples) and click (for tik-tik-tik-tok, tik-tik-tik-tok...) separately. It would be handy if brain could handle all this  ;D

Hi
you can route the click to outputs 1-2 (mono) or/and headphones (stereo), but there will be too the rest of the mix (snare, kick, toms...).
You can put the click alone if you turn down the volume of each part of the drum kit in the mix menu.
You can send these differents parts towards other outputs, but you lose the advantage to use the integrated mixing.

For the drumsets, you can make a setlist with the drumitfive editor on a computer and save the resulting config file in your module, or you can copy or move each kit with the module but it takes more time.

Aah...

Doesnt this mix menu thing have effect on individual drum volumes in outputs 1-6? These should be untouched... We dont feel bad losing internal mixing in the brain because we have FOH-engineer who can handle monitor mixing also. Our setup is really stable these days. No "real"drums, no amplifiers, no monitors. All is DI-stuff and everyone is having in-ears... Well, are we credible rock band without amps? -Believe me, audience doesnt give a poop

That computer editing seems to be easiest way. Lets see when we have our set. I think we have to read manual for more questions...

You're right. Wished more musicians were like you

@ Dr Doctor: to resume, you can send the click only to the headphone line, and your samples to other outputs.
