Title: Extra toms
Post by: giusfre on April 13, 2013, 09:25:48 AM
Hi! I'm completely new to 2box and this is, infact, a presale question!
I'm going to buy the 2Box module and using it ONLY for drums sounds; i will continue to use real acoustic cymbals and hi-hat.
Is it possible to connect an extra tom pad (to use it as a second snare or 5th tom or FX) and a bar trigger (to use as cowbell or tambourine or FX)? Which trigger input is the best for this purpuose and how I have to tweek the trigger parameter?
Many thanks for the help

Yes, you can assign any of the sounds (even cymbals) to any of the pads or rims. The pad inputs are all the same and the only thing you need to adjust is the settings for the pad size, threshold, gain etc for each of the inputs.

Cheers

I use 5 toms with Tom input 4 being split to cover the pads in the floor tom area. This leaves rim triggers on the upper 3 and just head triggers on the lower ones. Works great. I made a custom wiring loom for my pads so I just Y'd" the T4 input to two cables.
