Hi!
Has anyone noticed an annoying latency issue with the snare. It only seems to happen when your playing 8th notes on pedal hat while riffing around on ride, toms, kicks and snare. As soon as the pedal hi hats are triggered at 8th notes I've been noticing a latency in snare hits.
If this is across the board, poor show 2box! Well disappointed and thus will be selling the whole kit as a result which would be a shame because I does sound great. Much like Ddrum before it, they focused on how real it sounded above the gimmicks.

This is a new kit with stock 2Box sounds right? One thing that will cause that is if you are not on the home/kit page of the module when playing..... IE: if you go to the instrument page and play the kit you notice lots of that.
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! :D ;)

Agreed, it happns to me today but it came back right in place when wen back to the main kit page.

If you make any changes to the kit your playing you're must save the kit or else it will lag very badly. In other words, always press the 'save' button if there's a question mark next to it indicating that you've edited the kit in some way.

Thanks for the replies people, I'll have a look tomorrow. I emailed 2box and they replies claiming "there's no latency!"
Au contrare! You'd think that any pro drummer that would have demo'd the protype would have notices this as I did within minutes of first turning it on and said, "great kit but nail the latency as that sucks ass!" seemingly if they did, 2 box didn't. But I'll have a check tomorrow.

well there is 3000 users of 2box. noone has any problems with that, my friend you are not the only drummer playing with electronic drums. obviously there is something you are not doing correctly. we can help you and we can find it easily i believe. if you insist your module is bad and has latency, there is no need for me to start asking questions to you too try and identify what might be wrong...

Well, there is no latency problem. So unless you are in editing mode like described above (manual explains that) you shouldn't have a problem. If you determine there is a problem you might need to return the module or at least get a replacement SDHC card.

Check your serial number .... from serial number 1050 upto 1559 the SD cards providesd were faulty , causing lag and freezing .... 2box will send you one if it s the case ....

Is the latency obvious , or just subtle ?

edtc

Hi welshsteve ... do you still have latency issues outside the edit mode ?

i ve noticed some too , when playing "busy" patterns with snare+rim , hihat action  and fast ride (bell+bow )

I precise it s with the stock 4GB SDcard with standard sounds and without extention cable ....

the "Jitter" is present on snare and bell , but i suppose it s because it s easier to hear it on such sounds ....

Krillo

I've noticed some on my toms, but I thought it was my dsnd's and that I made some mistake in the editing in the beginning of some files. Will do some latency checks...

ive been practising for more than a year now, at least 2 hours per day. never have i witnessed any latency at all. of course i have only stock sounds, and a 32gb xtreme card. now, if the stock 2box cards had latyency issues, i dont know. i find  it hard to believe that there is latency issues, at all.
how do you people, hear the sounds? headphones? or else?do you use custom sounds?

Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents, I mainly use only custom dsnds, some quite big like hi hats over 220mb, and ive never experienced any latency issues. Although I am only using the stock 4Gb card.

One thing I did notice when making your own dsnds is to watch for layers at the beginning with silence, I had this a few times and this can sound like latency.

This may have nothing to do with your problem but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
