Hi there

I would like to introduce myself as a new member of the forum.

I am currently a member of the vdrums forum under the same user name and I have taken a new venture towards 2box from Roland.

I have a Pearl Vision Maple Acoustic kit that I converted to electric myself with the help of info from great members of the vdrums forum.

I started with a Roland TD9KX, upgraded all the pads from the states, then upgraded the module to TD12, then went all out on a TD30 module (found it at a great price) and discovered it was too much for what I needed so I managed to do a deal with another forum member who happened to be on the market for a TD30 and so I went into the world of 2box.

My new adventure sees me with a 2box module and I sold all my Roland cymbals and have gone Zildjian Gen16.

People say they're great, others say the sound the arse - I saw them as a new challenge and I got tired and sore wrists hitting those rubber cymbals. I think I'll tune them to my liking - I believe they need heaps of experimenting.

I know the feeling. Try the Beech cube's and the dry Hard rock toms from the 2box website. Great stuff.

I had a play with the beech cube's and they didn't tickle my fancy to be honest.

What's up Akers! Just ordered my 2box today to use with my Roland td30 kit! Question, how would I mount my 2box module to my current Roland rack and plate holder thing? Any one have any ideas? Thnx! Excited to be here :)

Just get your hands on a Roland plastic mount that holds a TD4/9/12/20/30 and drill it to the 2box with (its pretty close) and mount it.

Welcome to the forum.. There are some amazing people on here who have encountered probably every problem and issue with the 2box and happily share their experience..

I used to go onto the V Drum forum but got hacked off with the innate dumb questions of comparisons.. I took a leap of faith buying the 2box having put a deposit down on a TD30 and changed my mind.. Never regretted a thing.. My wife has though since ive spent pots on expanding my kit and getting high speed memory cards and converting my 2box module to a 32GB card since I quickly understood 4GB was going to be limiting me..

Have fun and enjoy this brilliant product.. I still use rubber pads but have them set so sensitive so that I can do the gentlest of stick strokes...
