Minimizing e drum noise in an apartment

Does anyone use real heads on their kit and have experience with different types? I think I can get away with the noise but if I could choose drum heads that resonate the least I will go for those. Or maybe I could glue some felt on the underside of the skin? Something to stop them playing notes and interfering with the sound from the module...
