Real drum heads?

Anybody try real coated heads on their drumit yet?  Wondering how it feels vs the mesh?  I imagine it would make the kit louder to a degree.  And what about triggering. how is it affected or not?

We have put real heads on a kit we have in the office. They look great, but they are much louder. I would guess if you were in a rock band where on stage the noise wouldn't be such a problem, they would give you an amazing level of feel.

Thanks Insider!  Might have to give it a try at some point...when I wear out the mesh, which seems a long way off!
