Recording Cymbals separatley?

hey,

just a quick question.

i record my 2box (entire set) via out1&2.

what i would like to have is just the cymbals on another separate track in my DAW.

is this possible? if so tell me how.

Hi

go to KIT menu, down to NODE menu, select each cymbal with the appropriate channel button (CYMB1, CYMB2), assign cymbals to BUS 3+4 (for example).
do the same thing for the others elements, but on bus 1+2.
You must have out1.2 in the menu OUT (KIT menu) assigned on 1+2!.

yes it is possible. You can route every channel to one of the 8 outputs or a output bus. You can do that on the UNIT-NODE page. You can find the details at the manual:

There is already a default setting at the kit:

Bus 1+2: Kick, Snare, Hihat
Bus 3+4: Toms
Bus 5+6: Cymbals

Bus 3+4 is routed to outputs 3+4 and bus 5+6 is routed to output 5+6. At the UNIT-OUT page you can choose what is routed to output 1+2. With the default setting it is the Remix (all channels, input and song/metronom) but can be changed to Bus 1+2.
