Getting weirder and weirder, any reply from 2Box Sweden?
Haven't contacted them yet.... most probably they will put me in contact with the german distributor...
I send them this e-mail just now:
I'm a fanatic 2Box drummer and member of the 2Box community. But also very worried about delivery times and stock issues. Even Thomann is running out of stock for rackclamps and such.
Every delivery worldwide is now delayed with more then just a couple of months. What is the problem? Is it possible to issue some sort of statement?
See if they reply.
And this is the reply ...
Thanks for your email.
Delivery problems of 2BOX are solved now and stock situation will be improving soon.
Sorry for inconvenience.
So ... soon the shops will be stuffed with 2box goodies?
Here's hoping

I think I'm going back to roland....
That sucks big time. The rack is pretty standard, maybe you can use this clamp to attach the pads?

so.. because the rack gear shipment is delayed until November...you don't like the module anymore? Seems like Gibraltar rack gear would be a much more reasonable solution.
For your tom mounts, don't you really just need a couple Gibraltar or other brand Rack multi clamps like this for example? .... : http://www.amazon.com/Gibraltar-SC-GPRMC-Power-Multi-Clamp/dp/B0002NIMA0
and 2Box style L rods:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/2box_drumit_tom_l_rod.htm
Also, according to others the Hex rod diameter needed for the 2Box tom is 12MM so it is available outside of 2Box specific parts. http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,149.15.html
From what I have seen there are multiple tom mounts out there that should work.

Nope, no chance, the lrod keeps slipping even on these....

Interesting. Where does it slip at? Where the "L" rod joins the clamp...or the pad? I've never had any problems at all with a Gibraltar "L" rod slipping when using a Gibraltar clamp.....even with full size shells.
However...I have had slippage occur when the "tom arm/L rod mount" on the shell has gone bad. Could this be the problem?
I have 5 clamps, 4 for extra bars and one to secure the basspad. No issues on the clamps slipping. But no pads hanging on those clamps to be honest.
The l-rod is slipping, not the clamp itself. Besides, when tightening the wing nut of the clamp, the l-rod "turns " and subsequently does the pad attached......

Ahh....I have seen this happen with cheaper clamps and even a lot of older Roland clamps. Heck I've even seen this with various tom mount configurations from high end clamp offerings. So....this seems to not be a 2Box specific problem. I have seen simple successful fixes like in the form of thin rubber or tape wrapped around the piece where it meets the clamp....to hairspray for grip to prevent slippage. However usually a new pieces(brand specific or 3rd party) do solve this issue for a while unless the gear is substandard...or defective....but not always...that's where creativity and a bit of logic in positioning and stress relief for placement can do a world of good. Just re-positioning the clamp and "L" rod angle can even solve the issue without having to replace it at all.
Hi, I don't use 2 box pads but it seems the 2 box rod is hexagonal and your clamp is expecting a round rod so it has little to grip on to. Maybe slipping a thick rubber tube, something like a car radiator hose or piece of garden hose, over the rod may help. It might make the rod thicker and rounder giving the clamp a bit more to bite in to. Always a problem when things are not standard. Good luck.

The Gibraltar are round at the clamp mount and hexagonal at the tom mount.
