Hi All,

Got my kit a few days ago and i am completely stoked with it, so glad i didnt by a roland. Anyway i have had one minor issue with a wingnut on the hihat which dominant music are sorting out other than that i just have a couple of noob questions.

I a getting some double triggering on my kick drum which i am sure is a technique issue as i can see the beater bouncing, i have read to turn the gain right down to 0 which helps eliminate this problem so i have done that and it seems to do the trick however when i press save it doesnt seem to actually save the change? Is there some trick to saving changes?

Lastly, what is the best way to play along to music? I connect my ipad to the module which works ok but the quality of the music through the headphones is poop, obviously when i play music any other way it sounds fine but through the module its realy crap? Is this something to do with the files being MP3 and played through itunes/ipod?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Cheers Linc

Go to menu UNIT, down to menu PREF, push middle upper button to activate the SAVE option. Now you can save your settings.

When connecting an Iphone to the 2Box the sound is fine, but you need to have the proper plug/cables and set the LINE IN to STEREO, otherwise it sounds like a ''tunnel/far away sound''

Thanks for the replies, not sure what's going on with the playback when I set it to stereo I cant actually hear anything?

Do most people generally use an iPod for play along?

No idea what's wrong. It should work. I use my cell phone. It's connected with usual stereo audio cable with 1/8 stereo plugs and 1/8 to 1/4 adapter.

still dont have this sorted its super frustrating, have tried different cable etc but still the same problem i can hardly hear any vocal track and i can tell that some parts of the music like guitar parts etc i cant hear either.
Its not my headphones cause i can play the same music directly through them and it sounds fine but through the input on the module i get the above issues, whats confusing me more i listen to and watch videos of freedumlessons and the music/drum instruction sounds great but the dudes voice is so quiet again i can hardly hear him talk??
if i switch between mono and stereo it just gets louder or softer but still with the same issue.
havent quite worked out how to use tracks stored on a sd card, how does thats work can you use mp3 or do they have to be wav files?

Cheers All

It sounds like something is out of phase .... you if it s not your cable it may be the inner wiring ,but i cant imagine that as the jacks are soldered on the motherboard....

to test that , try toplay a real mono song on your ipod ,
if there is no sound from the line in , then it means that the left and right channel cancel themselves...

Keep trying with new cables ( from the ipod to the module)
