Snare a2e - very loud stick hitting noise

Recently did a2e conversion of Mapex 13" snare using Triggera Intrigg.
Triggering works fine, very little tweaking was necessary
However the sticking noise very loud, sometimes overwhelming so that louder then the snare sound even at fairly high velocity.
I use Roland dual ply mesh head at high tension (to avoid double triggering as I learnt from web resources)

Contrary to that, just installed new 2box toms, their sticking noise is very refined, kind of whisper, a pleasure to play.
Is the such high sticking noise something to expect doing a2e conversion ?
Is that something inherent when using 2ply heads ?
What a measure of proper tension to allow reliable triggering without excessive sticking noise ?

2 ply heads are usually louder than one ply ... but imo , your problem comes from the plastic shell of your REMO muffle ring ...

Oh, that indeed might be the reason..
Will try to remove the muffle with the plastic holder, just to prove that...
Are there other viable solutions without the plastic ring to hold the muffle ?
