still have nightmares with 2box as canot get stuff that i have downloaded to drag across.is there a help line i can talk to, to go through step by step very much love hate relationship with it.

Hi. Did you read my reply in "recommended cables"?
So you should be able to see the DrumIt as a drive on your PC.
Then drag'n'drop the unzipped dsnd files from your PC to the DrumIt drive or any sub-folder.
Restart the module. Press KIT and then PAGE-DN.
On the DRUM page you can find the new sounds in the folders you downloaded them.

That's really as step-by- step as it gets.

Ps. if you use the PC editor, you need to have the module connected by USB.
Then in the editor, browse to the DrumIt drive, choose the DrumIt.dkit file and then you can edit all kits.
Do not choose the DrumIt.dkit file on your PC, because it will not link to the sound files on the module.

Have you updated your SD card with an expanded one? If so, the USB link no longer works and you need to physically remove the card and transfer files with a card reader.
