NEED HELP

Hello,  I just purchased a 2box set on ebay.  It was slightly used.  I wanted to follow the recommendation of the company and just play it out of the box.  The previous owner must have messed with parameters and now the triggering is not good and neither are the sounds coming from the kits.  I wanted to do a factory reset, and tried to reset on the module by following the instructions in the manual.  I don't see how it can be set to factory settings that way.  I know it can also be reset by going onto 2box's site and using a usb.  I am not really tech savvy and I don't want to screw the module up.  Can anyone give me help to do this?  Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
