Hi All

I am a newish Mk1 owner , I am not sure if I have the brittle rims that were initially a problem but ..

I have quite a few snapped plastic clips that hold the O rings , also O rings are disintegrating too. I cant replace them with standard ones from a hardware store and thats fine

Anybody got a solution for broken plastic clips though ? Love the kit but terrible design !

I have been in touch with  the Uk distributor but no response ... 2box.se dont really want to do anything except direct me to distributor .

I got some replacements directly from 2box recently (plastic pad hoops, piezos, rubber o rings etc) But if they're directing you to the UK distribution, I can imagine that's kinda frustrating for you. Have you tried calling the UK distribution directly? I emailed them and got no response but I didn't try calling them.
I found Bengt at 2box great to deal with personally, maybe try him directly. He's a busy man, but he always replies sooner or later.

This thread might help. Dunno if you have the same pads, but he came up with a DIY solution for broken hooks that hold the O-Rings. It's the second post in the thread and there are a couple Dropbox pics linked: http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,2064.msg18271.html#msg18271

Thanks for the replies all . Jman ... how on earth did you get those nails through like that so neatly without breaking the plastic ?  I got the MK1 . I haven't disassembled the rims yet to see but they look different from mine I think

Much appreciated , Carl

Hi Carl ..... that is not my thread or my drum, but I imagine he drilled a hole a tiny bit smaller than the nail before inserting it. At least that is how I would do it.
