Your experiences of recording with the 2Box kit?!

I've tried to do some recording with the kit using both midi to EZDrummer (thats what I got today) and audio output to Sonar as audio tracks. From my first tryouts I think I got the best sound and feel using the audio output instead of midi.
We're a rock/hard rock band and we want the sound to be as much real and acoustic as possible.
I'm not really into editing the drumtracks afterwards or copy/paste parts of the songs. The sound and the feeling is my priority.

I've seen some topics about BFD2 and it looks/sounds pretty good but before I dig into my wallet to buy it I would like to hear what your experience is of recording with the kit and what do you recommend - and why?!
