Hey guys & gals,
First post in a looooooooooong time for me so first off Happy New Year to everyone !
Whilst looking on the Mike Dolbear Drums site I came across a review for Martin France raw + Rattly drums VSTi. Im liking what i have heard on the demos and the interface looks nicely laid out and simple to use especially the midi mapping side of things. So is anyone here currently using it and what are your thoughts.

heres a link to the website

Cheers !  :)

P.S I can feel a collaboration with Lustar coming on LOL.

Looking at the articulations I noticed that there are not many for hi-hat. In my testing of VSTs for my own purchasing, I noticed a huge variance in the playability of hi-hats and lack of zones was one of the problems. If I read it wrong, or the site is inaccurate I'd like to be corrected.

I think you read it right, the Hi Hat would be virtually useless for building any dsnds. And they do not indicate how many individual velocity samples per instrument, just that "most" instruments have more than one. If there are very few velocity layers that will also make it pretty well useless for dsnds of any quality.
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! :D ;)

Yeah you both raise very good points. It's probably best used as just a standalone triggered vst rather than dsnd's.
Cheers guys.  :)

digitalDrummer

digitalDrummer review in the November 2015 found that lack of hi-hat articulations is a major issue for potential edrum use.
Some great sounds, but until the fix the hi-hat issue - which I understand is on the horizon, fairly limited use for us.
