I want to  use the KD-120, PD-120, PD-100, VH-12 or 13, and or CY-8,12-C,12-R/C,13R,14C,15R.

my question is will they work fine or should i look for other pads?

Should i use PD-120 for the toms or just stick with pd-100? does pd-100 have the riim function if not, should i use 120's for the toms are they necessary?

Which CY pads should i go for that are totally compatible with 2box and all the functions will work?

I read it is not possible to use vh-12 or 13 on it?

All the cymbals and mesh head drums in your list will work. PD-100 is single zone. That pad does not have a rim piezo so it will only work as single zone on the 2Box, or any brand drum module for that matter. It is simple to add a Rim Piezo to that drum though. The jack board already has a spot for it and many people have changed those to dual zone pads.

There have been many threads about setting the pad type using Roland cymbals in the past, here is one of them: http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,2457.msg21114.html#msg21114

As far as the VH-12 or VH-13. You could use either one, but you would need one of my 2Box HH stand conversion kits as in this ad:

Edit, I edited my original post. It had been so long since dealing with the Roland PD-100 I had forgotten the numbering schemes. The Roland PDX-100 is a dual zone side mounted mesh head pad, and the PD-105 is a dual zone center mounted mesh head pad.
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! :D ;)
